I don’t know about other schools, but here the victim can get in just as much trouble as the bully for fighting back. I reminded my kids that if they fought back, they would be punished at school but I was okay with it. So they had to decide for themselves if fighting back was worth whatever the school punishment might be.
Luckily, as it turned out, they never had to deal with anything that they couldn’t just walk away from.
