Penises are male things and women should not be permitted to make decisions regarding cosmetic surgery on them. Imagine what you would all look like if men got to choose your tits?

i dont think it’s a matter of male vs female really zeno. i think it’s that a person shouldnt have the right to determine what anyone elses body looks like. if, when a boy becomes a man, he chooses circumcision after weighing the issue for himself, go for it. i do not believe any person, male or female, has the right to modify another’s body against their will.

It’s not wrong, exactly. But it’s not right either. My son is not circumcised. If it becomes medically necessary (which I doubt, as it is cleaned regularly, lol) it can be done. If he wants it done when he’s old enough to consent, he can have it done. My husband and I just didn’t feel comfortable making the decision for him. If he wants to be intact we can’t put the skin back. If he wants to be circumcised, we can have that done later. That was our decision. But I do not begrudge anyone for deciding to circumcise, either.

Circumcision offers a lifetime of health, medical and sexual benefits. At least one third of uncircumcised males will develop a condition requiring medical intervention. This means degrees of suffering and possibly death. In contrast, circumcision can prevent or greatly reduce the risk of these medical conditions. The surgical risk with a modern circumcision is extremely low, while the life-long appearance & functional outcomes are excellent. Male circumcision also offer considerable medical and sexual benefits to a female partner by reducing her risk of suffering, disease, medical treatment and premature death.

NotStyro - Yes, we believe everything we read on the intarwebs. *vague nod* PUH-LEESE! All that death and disease you talk about is completely curtailed by GOOD HYGENE PRACTICES. Wash down there every day. Voila! No penis-yuckification maladies.
conz - Don’t read it. No one’s discussing your child’s penis. The only person who would be doing that is you.
It’s good that the issue was addressed again. Obviously lots of for and against. It’s certainly a bigger thing in the states than it is here in Australia. All I can say is that all the men in my life have been in tact and no penises have ever turned green and dropped off any of them. (It’s amazing what a regular, thorough wash can accomplish. *rolls eyes*)
