My most favorite Mom memory is Every single one.
I miss her so much since she died.
She was the best Mom anyone could be blessed with.
If you have a Mom love her and tell her a million times how precious she is and cherish her.
Love Jeanne ^j^

Mother’s Day is bittersweet. I’m not really a mother. Only halfway, only half of the time.
I get to have the full-time worries and fears. I get to liberally apply the neosporin and use my spit to wipe their faces. I get to step in the vomit in the middle of the night and gag as I make sure he’s ok. I also get to fold neverending loads of laundry; wash pee sheets the next morning. I get to do that one braid that takes forever that she only wants done when we are running late.
I also get reminded a lot that I don’t really know how it feels to be a parent. But when they bought me that birthday card and they assured him they didn’t need to write in “step” on the front, I’d have to disagree.
(And now that I think of it, this isn’t what you meant at all, was it?)

I’m a typical mom with a typical mom wardrobe: whatever is clean, dry, smells fresh and has the fewest stains on it is what I wear that day. I wish fashion mattered more to me (it sure used to!) but now, just being clean is my first priority.
A few weeks ago, however, I had a mom’s night out. I took a long, hot shower, washed and dried my hair, carefully applied make-up, and chose a skirt with a dressy blouse, just the way I used to do for a night on the town. I came downstairs to kiss my kids and husband good bye. My little boy caught his breath when he saw me…
“MOM! You look beaaauuuuuuuuutiful!”
I blushed and thanked him.
He gave me a big hug and whispered sweetly in my ear:
“I want you to wear that every day, okay?”
I think the smile that put on my face that night, and still these weeks later, have made me feel more beautiful than I have felt in a long time. Motherhood definitely has its perks!

I was in 4th grade and I won an essay contest. My mom was a teacher and I I was selected to read my essay to a large group of parish teachers who came to our school.
My mom taught school in another parish and because they were small the teachers rarely got days off in during the school year. Well as I was reading I looked up and in the back of the class was my mom. She had a great big smile on her face and tears in her eyes as she saw her shy young daughter who hated and still hates to speak in public. I still remeber the day and the brown suit she had on. It was my proudest moment because my mom lost a days pay to come and see me read my paper. I did not win the Parish award but I got somthing much much more. My mothers smile.

Have millions of favorite moments, but Sara’s on my mind right now, so I’ll share this one…
When confronted with the foot-stamping, hands-on-hips question “Sara! Why are you always so discombobulated?!?”
“Don’t worry, Mommy, I’ll cababulate. What’s cababulate?”
