FamilyI’ve got one kid insisting that opening day trumps everything else on tv, a child who can’t read trying to surf coloring pages she can’t print from that computer, a zombie in the garage, not enough sleep, and a crumb cake in the oven that NO ONE HAS NOTICED. Unbelievable. Daphne and I are still sick.
I think I’m just going to let them eat poptarts and butter and bowls of sugar all break long. They ask for it, and when I say no, they say “But it’s just…” or “But I want it…”
Finally, I said “Ok, get yourself a bowl of sugar, melt the butter, throw it in and wash it down with a beer.”
Oh, and earlier? I removed a quart of hair, dust, crud, etc. from the clogged hose of my vacuum. One month, maybe two I’ve been without it.
Ha! Logan just said, “Why don’t you go try to sleep in a little?”

When can I stop making these darn Easter baskets? I’ve been putting them together for 25 years now. Seriously, I think they would be pretty upset if I stopped but I’ve about had it.

I can relate so much!! Especially love hearing about your fallen vaccum….I’m not the only one?? I though I was the only person with vaccum problems as such…LOL

Spring Break ends for us tomorrow but I wish it didn’t. With two teens now, how I remember having the same kind of days you’re having now, and wishing I could still have them (once in a while:). The vaccum cleaner situtation remains the same though, even with the expensive Dyson I got to avoid dust bunnies collecting carpetside.

I love, love, love your blog! Yes, Spring Break just started and I honestly do not know how I am going to survive it! Maybe I should just let the girls eat all the candy they received over the weekend!

I know how you feel about the crumb cake and no one noticing…I feel like most things I do around the house go unnoticed. Would it kill someone to give me a little bit of acknowledgment and appreciation once in a while?
