Just had to get that out of the way. πday is not so much a major holiday here but Phil has all sorts of fun events to look forward to at work today. Pie eating contests, recitations of π to the greatest decimal point, just about anything a math teacher or student could wish for. And anyone in the liberal arts, well, they can hang around for crusty leftovers. I suggested Phil show his students this clip of Daniel Tammet reciting π to 22,500 places. Astounding, yet riveting.
Funny, I'm craving croissants. I don't yet know how many. I have to count with my tummy.
