Seriously. This is my lucky week! Not only was the J&J Baby camp informative and fun, but they were extra clear that everyone should know that J&J paid all expenses and wanted us to be transparent, which I totally respect. Luckily for me, the products I sampled were ones that were already big hits with the kids (or me) anyway so it was not at all a stretch. Other bloggers covered it in much more detail via live blogging; I'm a little lazier. However, the Twitter stream for the conference is solid gold. I've never had so much trouble NOT laughing during a presentation. At the end, while we were browsing lotion and Splenda samples, there was a drawing. I didn't even listen to the preview because I never win anything, but then they called my name right off the bat, and I won a trip for two the the Summer Olympics in Beijing!!! Can you freaking believe it? J&J is a sponsor for the games, so it makes sense, but wow. Phil and I get to fly business class, stay in a hotel, and attend some of the events. I cannot, cannot believe it. I don't have a lot of Chinese; will have to learn more. I can swear and order a beer (all I needed to know during a month in Taiwan), but I may want to brush up a bit before August.
In other news, Phil greeted the Jehovah Witnesses at my door back home today with Hitler songs in the background and wearing black latex gloves. He was watching a WWII movie and caulking up some areas to keep the critters out. I would have given anything to see how long they had to talk in order to get him to take a Watchtower.
I write. A lot.
I also design stuff and collect funny things kids say. Oh, and please buy my book. It's very funny.

I have to say, I’m COMPLETELY and UTTERLY JEALOUS!!!! I ADORE the olympics, and during the Athens olympics watched every event even the rowing, archery and skeet! I can’t wait until 8-8-08 so I can see it all again! sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo jealous!

Congratulations - wow I never win anything that cool! I know a bunch of bloggers (from SV Mom blogs I write for now) that went to the same event. And....my friend had a similar episode in SJ hills with the Jehovah Witnesses group - then refused to leave so she screamed “I worship the devil” and shut the door. 20 minutes later a large group of them were all standing on her lawn singing “Kumbaya” - she turned the sprinklers on them....http://themommyblog.net/ee/images/smileys/wink.gif.

Holy Moly. What I would give to be in Beijing for the Olympics. Especially the opening ceremonies. Ticket prices for the cheapest seats in that event still cost an arm and a leg…
