Bad Mood Dude
Bad Mood DudeI had to bear the ultimate humiliation when I asked my ten-year-old if I could borrow his AC/DC CDs to put on my iTunes. I still can’t get over it. This is not right. I had my first kiss while listening to “Back in Black.”
Just now, as I punched up the volume and let ‘er rip, Logan glanced up from his game and asked, “And who do you have to thank?”
I replied, “Hopefully the same person I’ll thank for picking up the wet towels in the bathroom.”
What’s that? Can’t hear. Music’s too loud. Plus, I’m old.

Oh, crap! I know the feeling - my 4 year old loves Bon Jovi, and I’m like, back off - that’s MY thing!
Oh, and you know what makes me feel super old? Walking into an Abercrombie & Fitch store (so not stroller friendly), having the hot young salespeeps not even look at me, and thinking, “this music is so loud in here I can’t even think!”

I was too busy taking care of babies in the 80s for AC/DC or Cheap Trick to have been on my playlist but recently my daughters 25 year old boyfriend decided I was pretty cool when I knew who Jimmie Paige was and when he heard that Led Zeppelin’s “D’Yer Maker” was my ringtone.

You know what’s really weird is hearing these younger artists cover The Rolling Stones or Deep Purple. Maybe not deep purple but you know. I have to strongly correct my kids that no, Brittany didn’t originally sing Fade to Black!

At my age, I don’t even have a playlist anymore. I am not able to cope up with what the kids are listening to nowadays.

I’m a soon to become daddy but at this point, my wifes the 1 with all the music stuff and I just listen in on what she has. I wear headphones but she blasts the speakers...nods…

Same here with me, Che. I don’t really know what kids are listening today. And I don’t have any idea what’s hot nowadays! It’s hard getting old :(
