FamilyI met the most wonderful fellow working mom over the phone this weekend, sent by my friend Jeanne Fitzmaurice, founder of Design-her Gals. Beth Feldman is one half of the dynamic duo behind Role Mommies (“Parenting By Experience, Not Expert Opinion”) and Moms of Reinvention.
In 1998, Yvette Corporon and Beth Feldman were making their mark on the television industry. Yvette, as a news producer for New York’s WCBS-TV and Beth, a publicist for the entertainment division of the CBS Television Network…
It was only a matter of time that the dynamic duo of broadcast bookings would meet over a chicken salad with dressing on the side lunch, when they discovered they were each other’s Role Mommys. An idea was hatched and a company was born. Individually they’ve balanced bookings, bottles, conference calls and croup and together, have decided to embark on a new journey.
The pair has given birth to the Role Mommy brand and has begun contributing parenting segments to the WB11 morning news. Their website has become an on-line coffee klatch for moms who just don’t have time to swap stories but are looking for a quick fix of comraderie to brighten up their day. And, the Role Mommys have just unveiled an irreverent and whimsical apparel and jewelry line geared toward today’s busy moms.
Beth has written a profile for this site that has lovebirds swirling around my head. They are releasing their first book, “Peeing In Peace: Tales & Tips for Type A Moms” in early 2007!
Just look at all the amazing moms around us. We are a force to be reckoned with, even if we can’t pee in peace.
