Your child walked at 5 months? Great! He said his first word when he was barely out of the womb? Super!
What do you think? Is it important to push your children to reach developmental milestones? Or should we all just take a giant chill pill? Join the Momversation by commenting on a related forum:

So, I watched the whole thing and all I came away from it with is “I didn’t know Mindy had a cat”. Yeah, my kids are too old to even think about that stuff anymore. Now I’m thrilled when they graduate from college and get a job with benefits…and please let this job of Emily’s last.

I don’t have a cat. I was at Guy’s house and the only way to shut the cat up was to hold him!

I really miss the feeling that kids are pretty safe to roam around their neighbourhood. We live in a nice, friendly area. There is no way I’d let my kids roam all over it at age 7 or 8, the way we did where I grew up (which was more urban).
What I REALLY hate? All the media getting kids hooked on behaviour and products. The whole Tween thing makes me steam. My daughter watched iCarly 3 times and turned into a full-blown teen Valley Girl. Um, nope. Cancelled the satellite TV.
