Family
I’m sitting here feeling like an idiot with a childhood disease at 40, three kids home on Spring Break, and a news crew coming over in the morning, which instead of making me do cartwheels, is causing all kinds of angst about cleaning the house. Thinking of throwing a trough filled with Goldfish, popcorn, jelly beans, and lemonade in the garage and letting them spend the day with Uncle Wii.
I’m too beat to write.
Instead, I’ve just posted the “nominate me” badge over there in the sidebar. Also? Here.
Come to my profile in the momlogic community and write your nomination on my wall. Must have ten nominations on my wall by April 19 at 11:59pm to be eligible to participate. Members can only nominate one blogger for the contest. Void where prohibited. I am not a lawyer, accountant, or anyone who can help you when things go pear-shaped. Unless you like shadow puppets.

Make it Mike’s Hard Lemonade and I will happily fly to you and spend the day with the kids!
Also, I FINALLY got back on the internet after a looooooooong weekend with the in-laws and looked at the info of your disease. I won’t lie to you. I totally lol’d. Sorry.
But also, don’t feel like an idiot because it isn’t like you could have done ANYTHING AT ALL EVER to make it not happen. Just means you are young at heart. Or something.
Rest!!

I nominated ya, hope that worked! I thought also since you are probably always looking for stuff to blog about you might like the movie “The Great Mother”. It’s a documentary about the Dalai Lama’s mother, and it’s super good and well done, and is about motherhood in general as well. It was great to hear such an amazing spiritual and political leader so humbled when talking about the nature of the mother, he says that mother is the first teacher, of kindness, compassion, foregiveness, do’s + don’ts and how to be with each other, and in this way mother is before religion. I thought it was nice to see him give mama her due!
