My wife got a lot wittier immediately after we were married.  Surely this is some form of false advertising!

That’s the truth!  It took me many years to learn that - which explains so few dates in high school and college (despite being quite attractive - back then anyway).  I finally found a man who IS truly wittier than I am, so our marriage works out very well. :-)
