I found it! I found Daphne's gift!
Back up a little... Phil and I went to SF last night and today for a lecture series on Genghis Kahn (mom's the executive director of the sponsoring organization, so we were in the front row, center seats. Neck huuurrrts.). Of course, this meant dressing up. I asked mom what that meant and she replied, "Better than we usually dress." Ugh. UGH. You mean, in the clothes I wore two sizes ago? Before I started working at home and dating a chef? So I'm digging through the scarf drawer (Phil made a good point: "If you never wear scarves, why do you have a scarf drawer?" "Because I JUST DO.") and lo and behold, there it was in all its shiny, clamshell-clad splendor. A pink Nintendo DS. Her dad will kill me when he remembers to to talk to me about it, but it completes the circle so that each child has one, and that means that no one has to take a beating over an overdue turn. It had to be done.
The other great news was that I was able to verify that none of the invitations for tomorrow's party (now canceled) were handed out other than to the three moms I have already spoken with. We'll just Photoshop the original and reissue for next week! Yes, I scanned it; I'm that much of a geek. But sometimes? It pays off.
It's nice to be home again though, with the children tucked into bed and the dishes waiting for the morning. I'm working on an exciting new site as part of the relaunch of all my sites. Yes! New designs! New sites! New fun! Also, the martini's a bit played, so it's time for a new look. I can't wait to show y'all what Joelle from Moxie's whipped up.

Wait, you’re switching to red wine?
And congrats on finding her gift!

I just found your website ... I saw a screen shot and was sure you had a Designer Girl. I am so in love with the site. I also just drool (like a baby trying to reach the peas) over Moxie designs.
I hear you about the DS http://themommyblog.net/ee/images/smileys/grin.gif Being a mom of three I get it. Unfortunately I don’t have a scarf drawer.. i am thinking i should get one- even if its just to wrap a scarf around myself at night while I wonder in my Pj’s after the kids are in bed.
We should all blog in elaborate scarves. ....

I have some lovely hand painted scarves that sit in my scarf/other stuff drawer.
What do you mean “the martini’s a bit played”. Do I have to stop drinking them? I don’t want to.
