SickBay

Up in the night with fever and chills, and just chugged half a bottle of children’s Motrin. If you are a parent, push back your keyboard tray, find your children, and beseech them for forgiveness for ever making them drink that vile potion. I had to chug an entire can of Diet Coke to wash away the taste, which felt just a little too Old School to me.

Anyway, I really needed to know what was wrong with me, so I headed over to Dr. Northfield’s for a diagnosis. I am so totally not surprised.

Oh liquid Motrin is straight from hell!  I did the same things when I had strep a couple of years ago.  I begged my kids to forgive me through my fever induced haze and swore on my life I would never let that nasty stuff enter this house again.  (And it never has!) Grape Advil isn’t nearly as bad (but still is rather nasty)

I hope you feel better soon, Mindy!

Had the same experience with liquid Benadryl. I did a double-take, checked the bottle to be sure I hadn’t picked up Liquid Plum’r by accident. gkgkgkgkggaaaaa.

Poor baby!  I hope you’re feeling better today.  (And I always buy the Walmart Equate bubblegum flavored ibuprofen.)

Yes! My daughter would look at me like I was trying to kill her. Finally I took a swig myself, and understood why. Well, get some rest, Mindy!

My daughter tried it once, then ran to the other end of the apartment.  We now use the chewable Children’s Motrin tablets and she’ll take it NO problem.  smile

Let me suggest bourbon instead of the whole Motrin thing.  I mean, it doesn’t actually do anything but you could care less.

I hope you feel better soon Mindy grin

I’m sorry to hear that you have Mommy’s Syndrome, Mindy, but at least you don’t have Rockchild’s Disease like me.

I’m still waiting to grow my wings!

just say no to liquid motrin. Contrary to popular theory the stuff that is marketed for kids, tastes HORRID.

If you are going to chug something nasty with a chaser, I say you get some vodka and nyquil and knock yourself out.

Hope you feel better soon!

Ooh, Nyquil. Totally worth the nasty taste for the great buzz.

Hmmmm… wondering what Mindy’s been up to that she’s ‘not supposed to do again’ to get cured?
