FamilyHere’s the video of the inaugural launch of our new Madsen Utility Cycle (see two posts down for disclaimer). You may want to sit down and have motion sickness pills at the ready! It looks more wobbly than it was - the flip camera wrapped around the handlebars kept slipping!
This is the Rosetta Stone translation. : )
Hey Mindy,
I just watched a new clip about you, and realized I am probably just one of 20 other shipments you will receive today. I started to question our idea to send you a bike. We are just a small startup and every bike I ship out for review is a big investment for me. I really hope you like our bike and take the opportunity to leave your car at home next time you need to run to the grocery store or take a kid to a friend’s house. If riding a bike is not your thing, or our bike just doesn’t fit your style please let us know and I can arrange to have it picked up. If it is your thing, great! Use it, enjoy it share it with your friends. I think we also agreed that we would ship one to your readers if you give one away.
I rarely ship a bike out without talking one-one with the new owner. Usually I am able to customize a bike to our customers’ exact needs. Because we didn’t talk I read your blog, watched some of your videos, then totally guessed. I customized your Madsen giving you a relaxed ride, upgraded saddle, handlebar and tires. Retail price for a stock Madsen is $1,300; your upgrades were and additional $160 making your ride $1,460. I’m looking forward to your feed back and hope to hear from you soon.
All the best,
Jaren Madsen
Madsen Cycles (Changing the world one bicycle at a time)
Jared, I couldn’t be happier with the bike. What has kept us from riding as a family is the huge disparity in speed and endurance between the youngest and oldest. Now, I can let the boys ride and I can tote my little girl with me (along with swim or picnic stuff) and not have her feeling left behind or discouraged. It’s going to make a difference in our family, both in getting me out of my computer chair and in making it easier for us to go do fun things together without having to pack the car. Thank you so much.

I remember the many times when we were thinking, how can you add an extra room to this house without breaking too much the bank. And we found a few different options ... but I can’t believe we didn’t think about a cardboard box !!! And this one is so big, you can move all the 3 kids in there :-) perfect !

This is a great bike, I just got mine last week and you can see my video and information on my bike, here: My Madsen Cycle .
And yeah, the box is huge, but the kids used it for a fort.
