I take all of those, but I still have yet to feel better about myself.

I can vouch for this!  I took Paxil before I was diagnosed as Bipolar and nearly killed someone because of the mania it induced.  Yousers. 

Good to see the FDA coming out and doing something.

If an antidepressant causes suicide, isn’t that false advertising? ...how come lawsuit isn’t written all over this warning?

Paxil completely and totally turned my life around at one point.  Then again, it caused one of my bipolar friends to talk to herself in the grocery store.

As far as that lawsuit thing goes, the article said they aren’t sure that the drugs are causing it, they just want people to be careful.  And personally I’m amazed they work at all.  Brain chemistry is a wacky, wacky thing.

These meds used to drive me crazy when I was doing social work.  Psychiatrists would prescribe them like candy, and a majority of the time, they made matters worse.  Ugh…I am so glad they are finally doing something about it.

I’m on one of the listed drugs and it saved my life.  I continued psychotherapy when I started taking the drugs, and I still see the psychiatrist ever three months.  If taken right, they can help.  When doctors prescribe them without psychotherapy or follow up is when the problems come out (yes, I know that’s a poorly constructed sentence but I’m too tired to rewrite it)

Well as long as I’m telling every little secret under my hat, I’ll admit to the same. It saved my skin. And I wouldn’t have done anything differently, esp. since my shrink is all over the dosage. He’ll tell me if it’s unnecessary, or if I’m dreaming of little pink butterflies if I think he’s going to take me off it during the holidays. (Note to self: is your Dr. supposed to burst out laughing when you ask that question? *ponders*]
