Familybits
FamilybitsAs I stood over the kitchen trash can sharpening #2 pencils with a steak knife because my three school-aged children do not have a single pencil sharpener between them, not even the 456874354 I have supplied them with over the years, or the electric one they broke the first month, Logan heard me muttering to myself.
“Mom, if you haven’t lost your mind already, you probably won’t lose it at all.”

He is assuming you haven’t lost it already… ah, that’s nice of him!

I think he’s got a point there.

Encouraging insight, I hope he’s right for all of us muttering parents.

Lol - my friend’s son was caught by his teacher doing his work with a tiny piece of lead. He didn’t feel like digging out a new pencil from his bag and sharpening it.

THAT is priceless!!

My kid had his pencil sharpener taken away from him the first day of school.
AND HE CAN’T GET IT BACK UNTIL JUNE!
He told me then she wouldnt give it back to him, but I could go get it for him. So I tried that and she told me no. I could have been a real B and said ‘look, I paid 1.29 at the wal-marts for it and i want it!’, but you know, pick and choose, pick and choose.
I don’t know what kind of pencil sharpener crime he committed but it must have been a doozy, the little thug.

Why is there never a pen that works or a pencil with a tip on it when you need it?
Well, at least you found the pencils…

He should know better than to talk to a tense woman sharpening something with a knife!
