Wow.
My daughter Emma was 10 lbs 3 oz when she was born.... born the, um, natural way. I have a distinct memory of all the nurses running around, yelling things like “WE GOT OURSELVES A TEN POUNDER HERE”. I was heartily congratulated by all. The next day one of the other women asked me if it had hurt. I wans’t sure what to answer. It did, but you know, I had nothing to compare it to. I later told me husband to imagine someone sticking a saw into his stomach, then jiggling it around, repetitively, for about 24 hours.

He owes me big time.
