Who has properly ordered priorities?

Me: dutifully attended weekly meeting with CFO and reported on current state of affairs in grants management; worked with consultant on finalizing a custom database and reports; ate a hurried lunch at the diner (comfort food!) and felt all the while as if I were playing hooky from my desk; met with another consultant to work out bugs in new web tool; recreated our compliance forms in web format; turned off my computer, and headed home.

Dh: Took Logan to school; played with the little ones; picked Logan up and went to the beach, where Dylan ran around naked all afternooon, Logan played Lion King over and over again on the rocks, and Daphne marveled at the dolphins playing in the surf.

I don’t exactly know if this is your situation or not, but I have more female friends who are the bread-winners in their household than the reverse.  Their husbands/companions provide the balance at home quite nicely (at least from my little perch).  I don’t think it is unfair for empowered women to put their nose to the grindstone, but then again, I would still rather be at the beach!
