Last night Phil and I agreed we would never speak of this, but I did Tweet it, so I'll use Twitter as my puppet. Watch as I drink a glass of water.
mindimer I swore I would never speak of this, but last night? Maggots fell from attic through gap in ceiling light. Calling to have rat traps removed.
thompsonclan6 @socalmom Please, please, send me the recipe sometime this weekend, pretty please!
akaSylvia @mindimer Oh. my. god. That's horrible. I am going to have nightmares tonight.
mindimer Actually, they could be mealworms. Did not interview them.
thompsonclan6 @mindimer Well, there goes any thought of my having a late breakfast. Who needs Jenny Craig? When Mindy's got...RAAALPH...nevermind.
oldsillybear First @mindimer: 'maggots' Then: @thompsonclan6: 'send recipe please.' Comedy gold, people.
FabGirl @mindimer MMM, tasty! Especially when sauteed with some brown butter. But I'd hold off if they are maggots. Can't believe I just wrote that.
mindimer @oldsillybear I didn't touch that. I knew I could count on you!
mindimer Just ewed out the Terminix gal. "Maggots falling from ceiling, poss due to full traps, pls remove today" Some lucky tech gets that call.
thompsonclan6 @oldsillybear Thank you, I'm here through the weekend...try the veal!

I don’t think I can ever read here again…

The twittering stopped because we all ran to our cookbooks. Veal and…

Oh my gosh, that is so creepy!

That’s pretty nasty but I can relate. My kids left the screen door to the deck open once and some flies got in the house. Well I guess one got into our garbage can and decided to “go forth and multiply”. I went to open the kitchen garbage can a day or so later and got one of the most disgusting shocks of my life. To this day I still tense up when I open a garbage can.

I guess the box elder bugs I have aren’t so bad after all.

Ack! You can not be serious. After Maggie’s recent posts over at mightygirl.com about lice and flying ants, I’m beginning to wonder if we ARE experiencing some sort of plague. *glances nervously at the ceiling while scratching head* Ugh.

See? This is why I hate rats and all furry things related to them.
